My surroundings are no longer constanly shifting

2004-03-29

I am back from Europe. And Kate has left for Japan. Missed by one day. One. Freaking. Day. Buddy. I miss you. And I bought you chocolate. CHOCOLATE! =D

I had an AWESOME time in every city I went too. Despite the crappy weather we had while there. It was cold and raining/snowing most of the time we were there. I was sad to see the trip be over, but I was also excited to be going home because.. alas... Everyone on the trip is now sick, including me. I'm going to the doctor today to see if there's anything I can do about it.

I fell asleep at 7:45 last night due to jet lag(it was 2:45 in the morning to me) and the lack of sleep the night before (we had to be up at 4 in the morning, and it was daylight savings in Prague so we lost an hour of sleep). Being at home is really strange, I had gotten quite used to switching hotels often, walking all day, taking over night trains, and living out of a suitcase. This is something I definately want to do again. Though, after being on 7 planes within a 12 day period, I could go without being on a plane for awhile.

They served us chicken or pork through most of the trip.. there was only 3 times on the planned meals that there was a different kind of meat. I cannot eat chicken for awhile.

I didn't get homesick until I called home and talked to my parents.

James comes home tonight.
